DAPO

Designed to be the heart of Macabebe Mangrove Area, Dapo functions as an amphitheater that may hold educational programs such as forums, seminars, meetings, and alternative learning lectures. With tiered flooring and swings for seats, the users are encourage to interact with each other in the manner of swinging forward and backward much like how a bird begins to take flight. A major influence of the design’s overall structure considers how birds are invited to enter Dapo. Its tall and wide ground entrances and skylights from the roof allows birds to simply fly in and perch on webbed bamboos to encourage coexistence with users in the place.
